He wears a clean white coat, works inside the hospital building and teams up doctors and nurses to make sure patients get the right medical treatsment safely. . Wears a white medical coat or scrubs. . Stands or sits behind a counter or inside a busy storage room filled with shelves of medicine. . Uses computers, barcode scanner and safety gear like gloves or masks when handling strong drugs. Key Responsibilities - . Reads doctor notes and hands out pills , syrups and injections. . Makes sure the dose is right and will not harm the patient. . Tells doctors and nurses how to use specific drugs. . Counts and orders new medicine boxes so the hospital never runs out. . Educate nurses, physicians and patients on safe medication practices. . Develop hospital policies, formularies and guidelines for rational drug use.
